Luke Fickell
When Wisconsin hired Luke Fickell ahead of the 2023 season, expectations skyrocketed. The former Cincinnati head coach had guided the Bearcats to the College Football Playoff, and his arrival in Madison was seen as a statement hire. Luke Fickell was determined to bring in a new offensive scheme that is very different from the traditional Wisconsin offense that had been a power running team that controlled the line of scrimmage. With the landscape changing in the Big Ten, wins are much more difficult to come by. After going 5 and 7 in 2024, the Badgers have an uphill battle with a tough schedule looming in 2025. As mediocre as a 6 win season sounds, a 6 win season could potentially give Fickell another year at the helm

Mike Locksley
Locksley’s rebuild showed promise early in his tenure but ultimately fell short of expectations in 2024. The Terps suffered blowout losses to Northwestern and Minnesota and closed the year on a five-game losing streak, finishing 4-8 in conference play despite avoiding both Ohio State and Michigan. Looking ahead to 2025, Maryland opens with a favorable schedule that could set them up for a 3-0 start. However, finding a way to secure at least three conference wins will be critical for Mike Locksley’s future with the program.
